American Rivers is a national non-profit river conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring America’s rivers, as well as committed to fostering a river stewardship ethic. This site is an excellent source of information about endangered rivers, protection of aquatic and riparian species, and river policy issues in general. Many links are provided for national policy and legislation; state and federal water resources; river, water, and environmental organizations; and opportunities for activism or travel.
